About Wildlife Paws
Wildlife Paws was born in 2018, when two French women — Flore and Zoé — fell in love with South Africa’s landscapes and extraordinary biodiversity. What began as a personal adventure quickly evolved into a committed mission shared with Frédéric, Frith, and a dedicated team determined to protect the wildlife of the region.
Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and release animals affected by human–wildlife conflict, while fostering respect and coexistence between communities and nature. Guided by a strong belief in collective action, we work alongside veterinarians, local partners, and supportive volunteers to give every animal a second chance.
Through rescue efforts, educational initiatives, and meaningful volunteer programs, Wildlife Paws stands as a symbol of hope and resilience. Together, we can keep the wild alive — and help shape its future.
Rescue,
Educate,
Rewild.
Everything we do is built on three essential missions: Rescue, Educate, Rewild.
At Wildlife Paws, we Rescue, Educate, and Rewild. From urgent animal care to empowering communities, our process blends expertise and heart. Working alongside veterinarians, local authorities, and global supporters, we’ve helped hundreds of animals recover, learn, and return to the wild — building lasting change, step by step.
Our Three Pillars
Everything we do is built on three essential missions: Rescue, Educate, Rewild.
RESCUE
We save wildlife affected by human–animal conflict, habitat loss, poaching, or captivity. Contacted by Nature Conservation or locals, we work with vets to treat, shelter, and heal each animal.
EDUCATE
Through school visits, local partnerships, and an immersive volunteer program, we raise awareness and inspire communities to protect wildlife and live in harmony with nature.
REWILD
We save wildlife affected by human–animal conflict, habitat loss, poaching, or captivity. Contacted by Nature Conservation or locals, we work with vets to treat, shelter, and heal each animal.

Support Our Mission
Wildlife Paws is a Non-Profit Corporation dedicated to rescuing, treating, and protecting South Africa’s wildlife. Every day, animals rely on us for food, medical care, safe enclosures, tools to build and maintain their habitats, and the upkeep of the reserve itself.
Your donations make all of this possible.
They are the reason these animals can be saved, healed, and given a second chance.

How are donations used?
Donations are used to cover essential needs at the project, including animal food, veterinary bills (operations, medication, check-ups, etc.), enclosure maintenance, seeds for the garden, and milk powder during baby season. As an NPO in South Africa, we do not receive any financial support from the government. We rely entirely on donations to keep the project running and to provide the best possible care for the animals.
Can I sponsor a specific animal?
You’re welcome to donate toward the care of a specific animal. However, please note that donations are generally used where they’re most needed — for example, in case of a medical emergency or urgent veterinary care. This ensures all animals receive timely support and attention.
What kind of work will I do as a volunteer?
Volunteers take part in the daily activities of the project, including feeding animals, cleaning enclosures, maintaining the farm and enclosures, caring for the vegetable garden, assisting veterinarians on site or at the clinic, and helping the Dullstroom Bird of Prey Centre with their educational presentations.
Can I touch or interact with the animals?
Wild animals are not pets, so physical contact is not allowed. In certain cases, you may handle animals under the direct supervision of a staff member or veterinarian — for instance, when assisting with animals in intensive care. You’ll also have many opportunities to observe and engage through enrichment activities and behavioral monitoring.
Are donations tax-deductible?
For European donors, contributions are unfortunately not tax-deductible at this time, but we are working to make this possible in the future. For South African donors, tax-deductible donations can be arranged through Section 18A. Please contact us for further details.
Who can volunteer?
Anyone with a passion for wildlife and nature is welcome! The only requirement is that you must be at least 18 years old.
Can I work remotely while volunteering?
Yes! We have Wi-Fi available at the main house, and you’re welcome to organize your time to balance remote work and volunteering. You’ll have daily breaks and personal time that you can use as you wish.
How do you ensure animal welfare?
We follow the internationally recognized Five Freedoms of Animal Welfare, which guide every aspect of our care:
